You've Been Carrying This Business. It's Time Someone Helped You Own It.

A guided path for successors who are ready to step into ownership — with structure, clarity, and the confidence that comes from doing it right.

You know the business inside and out.

You’ve been making decisions, managing people, and driving results, sometimes for years. But when it comes to the transition itself, things feel murky. Maybe you’ve been promised “someday” without a timeline. Maybe you’ve tried to bring it up and it didn’t land. Maybe you’re not even sure if ownership is the right move, and you just want someone to help you figure that out.

You’re not alone. More than half the families we work with come to us because the successor saw the need first.

Our founder and our president are both successors in their own families. This work is personal to us.

YOU MIGHT BE HERE IF…

You're ready, but the founder isn't.

You can see what needs to happen. You’ve maybe even said it out loud. But the founder is still deeply involved, and the conversation about what’s next keeps getting pushed to “later.” You don’t want to force it. You want a respectful way to start.

You're carrying responsibility without the title to match.

You’ve been running things (or a big part of things) without the ownership or authority that reflects what you actually do. You want that to change, but you want it to happen through a real process, not a power struggle.

You're not sure if you're the right person.

Maybe ownership has been offered or implied, but you haven’t fully said yes because you’re still asking yourself: Am I a fit for this? Do I actually want it? That question deserves a real answer, not just reassurance.

HOW EVOLVE WORKS FOR SUCCESSORS

How Evolve Works for You

Evolve is a 12-month guided engagement designed to bring clarity, alignment, and a real plan to your transition. For successors, that means you finally get a structured path forward instead of waiting for the founder to figure it out and share it with you.

One-on-One Clarity

You’ll work one-on-one with your Transition Guide to clarify what you actually want. For yourself, for the business, for your family. This is where the “Am I a fit?” question gets a real answer… before the bigger conversations begin.

Facilitated Conversation

You and the founder work through this together. But “together” doesn’t always mean you’re heard equally. Your guide makes sure you have space to articulate your asks clearly, and that the conversation stays productive even when it gets hard.

A Roadmap You Both Own

Using our Transition Compass and Objectives Matrix, you and the founder build a roadmap you both own. Every commitment, timeline, and decision is documented. “Someday” becomes a real date with real milestones.

Support That Doesn't Disappear

Monthly coaching, bi-weekly Group Labs with other families in transition, and a guide who stays with you through implementation. You’re not handed a binder and wished good luck.

Not sure where to start? That's exactly what the first conversation is for.

We’ll talk about where you are today, what’s working, what’s not, and whether Evolve is the right fit.

You Don't Need Permission to Start

One of the most common things we hear from successors is: “I know we need this, but I’m not sure the founder is on board.”

You can absolutely begin Evolve on your own.

Many successors come to us first because they see the need before anyone else does. We’ll help you clarify your own objectives. We’ll help you understand your own communication style and decision-making patterns through our iMAP personality assessment. And when the timing is right, we’ll help you bring the founder into a process that feels structured and respectful, not threatening.

The founder usually follows. Not because they were pressured, but because they finally see a path that makes sense.

THE TOOLS THAT MAKE IT WORK

Built for Successors Like You

Every tool we use was developed by our founder, Elizabeth Ledoux, through 30 years of guiding internal business transitions. Here are the ones successors find most valuable.

The Objectives Matrix

You complete your own matrix: what do you want for yourself, for the business, for your family, and for the team? When you and the founder share yours with each other, alignment and misalignment become visible for the first time. This is often the moment everything shifts.

The iMAP Assessment

Our proprietary personality profile helps your guide understand how you communicate, make decisions, and handle conflict. It also helps you understand how your successor operates. The result is fewer misunderstandings and more productive conversations from day one.

The Transition Compass

The Big 6 questions every transition must answer: WHY, WHAT, WHO, WHEN, HOW MUCH, and HOW. For successors, this is where the assumptions get tested. You'll find out whether what you think was agreed on actually was, and where the gaps are before they become problems.

The Transition Roadmap & Timeline

Your living document. Every commitment, milestone, and decision mapped to actual dates that you, the founder, and your family can reference, update, and hold each other accountable to. This is what replaces "we'll figure it out eventually" with a plan you can point to.

Your Investment

The families who invest in this work avoid the outcomes that cost far more to repair: stalled transitions, fractured relationships, and deals that fall apart because the people side was never addressed.

Evolve starts at $2,700/mo

That includes everything: your dedicated Transition Guide, monthly coaching sessions, bi-weekly Group Labs, and our full suite of proprietary tools.

We don’t charge a percentage of your deal. We don’t have hidden fees. It’s a flat monthly rate for your full transition journey

Frequently Asked Questions

You can absolutely start on your own. Many successors come to us first because they see the need before the founder does. We’ll help you clarify your own objectives and, when the timing is right, help you craft the right conversation to invite the founder in. The founder often follows once they see there’s a structured, respectful process — not a demand.

That’s one of the best reasons to start. The first phase of Evolve is designed to help you answer that question honestly. If ownership isn’t right for you, you’ll know — and you’ll know why. That clarity is worth the investment whether the answer is yes or no.

Yes. Many of the successors we work with are non-family professionals who’ve been running the business or a major part of it. The transition dynamics are different, but the need for structure, clarity, and a facilitated process is the same. Your guide will tailor the engagement to your specific situation.

Plan for three to six hours a month. That includes your one-on-one coaching session, the bi-weekly Group Labs, and any preparation work. It’s designed to fit into your actual schedule without disrupting the business you’re already running.

Evolve is designed to be 100% virtual. No travel required. We’ve found that consistent monthly and bi-weekly sessions create better momentum than occasional in-person intensives. That said, we offer optional in-person retreat days for families who want them.

Ready to Stop Waiting for "Someday"?

Let’s talk about where you are, what’s in your way, and whether Evolve is the right next step. No pressure. No commitment on the call. Just a conversation about what’s possible.
